The Story of Awo
Approved
DAILY NEWS
It started with a simple question: "Why aren't there more African girls in engineering books?"
Awo is not just a character; she is a movement. Inspired by real kids in Accra who build toys from scrap, Awo shows the world that innovation doesn't need a fancy lab. It needs curiosity, grit, and a little bit of imagination.

Project Timeline
2023: The Spark
The first sketch of Awo was drawn on a napkin in a café in Osu. We wanted a character who looked like the kids we saw everyday.
2024: The First Book
"Awo and the Solar Lamp" launches! We printed 500 copies. They sold out in 2 weeks.
2026: SchoolOS
We realized books weren't enough. Teachers needed tools. The "SchoolOS" curriculum was born.
